Is there anything else I can use besides Ice for facial swelling on my 12 month old.?

My 12 month old fell off the bed and landed on his face. After a visit to the doctors, I sure got peace of mind knowing everything was okay with him. He has swelling as well as a reddish nose and lip (bruising). Are there any all natural remedies or treatment I can use for the swelling besides Ice. He will not stand for the coldness of it.
