Is it rude to bring up family when insulting someone?

He was being rude and offensive; there is nothing wrong with not wanting to be touched ESP by someone you don't know well. I would have said no I have no mental problems, I just dislike being touched by someone I do not know. Thank you for respecting my wishes. Obviously he was upset and hurt, his ego, etc and wanted to get back at you somehow which is why he made that ridiculous remark about your mother. He sounds like a perfect asshole.
